It is our pleasure here at Green Bored Goobers to introduce our Person of the Week!
Mr. D. Dee a man who’s only claim to fame it seems is that he shares the same initials as a Duck named Daffy. Which we here at Green bored goobers only think is fitting for most of his ideas are, well, daffy as hell. It’s not his fault of course. Mr. Dee is undoubtedly a victim of circumstance. He was raised conservative and was never able to get over it. We also hear he’s a short little guy and has never been able to get over that either. But even as conservative go, and they usually don’t, Mr. Dee is a real piece of work. First off he’s that typical whiny girly man type of conservative who, when they find themselves outclassed by a superior intellectual arguments backed up with little things like facts will, in typical Bill O’Liely fashion, try to shout down the opposition. Failing that, which he always does, his next tactic, right out of the conservative play book, is to have that opposing viewpoint silenced.
Well no more. We will mock and point fingers at Mr. D. Dee’s inane and small minded posts here at Green Bored Goobers to our hearts content.
But where to begin? There was quite a lengthy, but now gone, thread on Global warming. Mr. Dee of course being the card carrying conservative he is was of course a fist class denier. Of course like all deniers he was unable to back up a single one of his arguments with things like facts or evidence. He simply propped up his empty and futile arguments with regurgitated mis-information he had heard on FOX.
However later in the argument he let it slip that AGW might indeed be true but it was too expensive to fix. This would undoubtedly lead to an increase in taxes. So if it was going to actually cost him money out of his own pocket to fix the problem he didn’t want to be bothered by it. Great Humanitarianism there Mr. Dee.
Now before we go on any farther we here at the Green Bored would like to agree with Mr. Dee and that much of the hysteria surrounding Global Warming is misguided and simply muddles the discussion. But to deny that it is occurring and that that human technology is partly responsible for the increase in temperature is foolish at best. To simply counter the argument with childish rants of “it’s a liberal conspiracy” is childish and immature. Of course attacking you with puerile insults on a blog with its comment feature turned off is also immature and childish, but oh so much fun. I’m sure the head on his short little body is going to explode if he ever stumbles across this page.
But to continue on with the show.
His current rant centers around the recent Supreme Court decision to grant Personhood to Corporations. Not surprisingly Mr. Dee is all for it. Which we find rather curious as before he was staunchly against a one world government or having foreign interests dictate policy issues for us here in the States, two things that this latest decision will help to push forward. Already foreign interests are lining up to make large donations to lobbyists

But this is OK in Mr. Dee’s book because we all know that the only reason Obama got elected was because that evil foreign devil George Soros was able to give millions and millions of dollars to his campaign. Mr. Dee seems to forget that T Boone Pickens donated Two Million dollars to help Swift Boat John Kerry and thus pretty much ensure a second term for Bozo Bush. Thus with abuses on both sides of the aisle wouldn’t it make mores sense to limit and reign in campaign finance than to worsen it by opening the floodgates?
Of course not because like Mr. H. Ugly and Mr. Pear (who we haven introduced as of yet) you are a hypocrite of the first order. You only ever care about an issue if you feel it’s going to benefit you or your side. If you didn’t think that the Republicans could out spend the Democrats in the upcoming elections you’d be whining to high heaven about how unfair this decision was and how it is some sort of Liberal plot to redistribute wealth and impose socialism on the populace. You are so blinded by your knee jerk hatred of Progressive thought that you will abandon any rational thought if you think it will benefit your side. A side that historically has been on the wrong side of most every issue for the last century BTW.
Proof. Easy any argument against your poster child Palin you see as a biased liberal media attack piece. Anything said against her to you is hate speech of the first order. Yet the nearly continual string of vicious and propagandist hate speech that spewed forth from her vile little mouth during and after the campaign goes unchallenged, or even mentioned.
The attacks against Palin are largely a response to these continual (mis)statements. Well that and her stupid assertions of Death Panels and that you can see Russia from her state, the fact that she’s dumb as a post (Whose my Favorite founding Father? All of them!) and can’t even finish a vacation (let alone her elected office of Governor).
But where are our manners. We haven’t completely dismantled and ridiculed one of youe sad and pathetic posts. You wrote:

At least we didn’t see hoards of Klansman wannabees lined up outside the democratic VP candidates appearances waiting to get their sheets signed.

Your second paragraph is just pathetic. We all know you don’t want a level playing field. Republicans can’t win with a level playing field. They need an unfair advantage like brothers being Governors of Florida, a daddy loaded Supreme Court and a Head of ones election campaign who is also in charge of counting the votes in a pivotal state.
OK, OK that’s all hyperbole. But it’s my blog and I can say whatever I want here. Beside we all know its true :)
Your third paragraph is just sad and reeks of the paranoia so prevalent in conservatives. You seem to continually buy into the Liberal Media Myth. Overlooking the fact that every media outlet is owned by large conservative uber-corporations. It is a well know fact that if Rupert Murdock knew he could make as much money, or more, catering to liberals FOX would be Air America Central. But he knows Liberals are too diverse and intelligent a group to fall for such a ploy (which explains MSNBC’s dismal ratings) so he plays all you conservative idiots for the fools you are. Thus the Obama was treated with kid glove fantasy gets reinforced daily. You seem to completely overlook how the media treated Bush like a golden boy in his two campaigns. Only souring when it was finally revealed that he was the idiot he was by his woeful mismanagement of one and a half wars and our failing economy brought about by his misguided tax cuts and runaway spending.
As for press secretaries masquerading as reporters. Source please. Something other than FOX. Not that there isn’t precedent for this. Bush did it continually during his failed administration. I just never heard it about Obama. But then I don’t watch FOX 24/7 like some people here.

The gift that keeps on giving
Curly Sue is the gift that just keeps on giving. Her grasp on reality is tenuous at best and every time she opens her mouth her foot just keeps slipping deeper in.
She accuses others of painting with a broad brush but she herself lumps all liberals together into a single godless, baby-killing, card carrying communist group whose sole purpose is world domination and the wholesale slaughter of the innocents. How does she know this? Why Glen Beck told her. So it must be true!
Her most recent foray into the depths of Bachman land concerns slavery and why her god never went so far in its holy book to condemn such a heinous act. Mind you all this is occurring in a debate about the recent Supreme Court decision granting corporation’s person hood. Yes were all confused as to what one has to do with the other too.
The fact that God gave legislation concerning slavery does not mean that He approved it. He was only protecting the civil rights of the enslaved.
After several people point out to her the obvious as to why, if her god didn’t approve of slavery, did it allow the practice to continue. After all it is god, the supposedly most powerful entity in the entire universe. One would assume that if it didn’t approve of something there’d be a whole lot of smiting going on instead of the issuing of some minor rules and regulations.
She (Curly Sue, not the imaginary bronze age sheep herder god she believes in) starts to back pedal and try to tell us that slavery isn’t really all that bad.
Did you ever think that you're looking at the text through the narrow lens of your personal experience and how you understand words? It goes deeper than that. There are things to know about who the book was originally written to, what the customs and understandings were of that day, and such like.
The Bible doesn't portray slavery the same as you're thinking of it. It was not the forcible taking of people and making them serve for no wages. That practice violates natural human rights, which in our Declaration are inalienable, given by God.
Wow! Maybe she’s right. Perhaps this slavery thing isn’t as bad as we think. It was just a voluntary decision on the part of the slave to go into servitude and work for free. She even provided documentation.
SLAVERY No Freedom for Female Slaves The Law commanded that a man who had become a slave to pay his debts should be freed in the seventh year of his service (Ex. 21:2). However, no such law was given for setting free female debt slaves. Why? One reason might be that female slaves often became concubines of their master (see Gen. 30:9). Once a woman had been a concubine, she would have been unlikely to find a man willing to marry her. Yet without marriage, she would have had little means of surviving on her own. The culture of that day was not conducive to anyone—male or female—living as a single person. Thus the Law may have assumed that a female slave would permanently remain in her master’s household. Slavery in Bible Times Paul uses a powerful image when he pictures one’s relationship either to sin or to obedience as slavery (Rom. 6:16). The Roman Empire was heavily dependent on slaves to take care of its hard labor and menial tasks. In fact, many of Paul’s Roman recipients may have been slaves, since perhaps half the population or more were under servitude by one historian’s estimate. Slaves were taken from the many nations that Rome conquered. Those assigned to the empire’s widespread construction projects or to its mines had a hard lot. Fed a subsistence diet, they were worked to exhaustion. Injuries and disease were common, and once they were too sick to work, or in rare cases too old, they were abandoned. Household slaves, however, enjoyed better conditions. Nearly every Roman home owned at least two or three servants, and some had hundreds. They assisted the women in maintaining their homes and raising their children. Slaves with occupational expertise proved particularly valuable in the workplace, and some businesses were entirely dependent on these imported, cheap laborers.

She of course would argue that these are the oppressed Roman slaves, not the happy friendly slaves described in the old testament. You know the ones described in Leviticus 25:44 “Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves.” Remember imported slaves are always much better than those cheap domestic ones. However even if the only oppressed slaves were the roman ones. After all remember how much fun the Jews had under Pharaoh. You think that the big C. Mr.Jesus H. Christ might have had some words of wisdom on the subject. Oddly he remains quite mute on the subjest. Thanks Mr. C. Paul however has some things to say on the matter He tells us “Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory, nor to pilfer, but to show entire and true fidelity” I guess he though “Let My People Go” was a bit too cliché. Besides he must have known how much his workload would have increased had he gotten rid of his slaves.

Hell Hath No Fury
To be fair we here at Green Bored Goobers won’t always pick on the sycophants and malcontents that huddle in the political sewers on the lower levels of the Green Bored.
No our venom knows no bounds so today we’ll move up a few notches and lambast a post by a Mr. Cheap Scott who writes;

My DVD of the 5 card opener broke. Wanted to see if anyone would mind making a copy of theirs and sending me a copy. Would be happy to pay $5-$10 for the trouble. Very disappointed. He wanted $20 to replace a DVD I had already purchased. Very poor customer service. Seems like he is more focused on making as much money off everyone as he is in providing good customer service and support to folks that have already paid the $80+ to purchase his effect in the first place.
A somewhat reasonable request until we find out the contents of the e-mail requsting the replacement DVD

Of course the creator of the DVD declined the request seeing how the damage wasn’t caused by him or his representatives.
Of course Mr. Cheap Scott doesn’t take kindly to denial or, it seems, personal responsibility. So he goes off on a tirade befitting Green Bored Goobers
It how a DVD is broken is irrelevant. Your effects are over priced to begin with. I paid $90 for the effect originally. I packaged it correctly when I sent it to a buyer on the Café. That is irrelevant. Lets say my little 4 year old daughter picked up a DVD of yours and scratched it accidentally. Your argument would be well its your fault. You should have locked them up in a safe 400 feet underground. If you had I would have sent you one free, but since you didn't I am going to charge you $20 for something that costs me $1-$2. Oh by the way....I already made about $85 off you the first time you purchased the effect. Good customer service. NOT. Last time I will be buying your effects and I will make sure that others know your stuff is OVERPRICED and your customer service is pathetic. Stop focusing on "teaching customers lessons" and start providing unconditional support of the folks spending big bucks to buy your stuff!!

So sensing on some subconscious level that your argument is as weak as your moral code you start attacking the product saying it’s “over priced”. So just because it’s perceived to be expensive by you he somehow owes you for mishandling your own property. This fails on so many levels there’s not enough room on the server this blog is hosted on to even begin to respond to this idiotic argument.
He then starts his own little terrorism scheme;
Hopefully the buyer will send me the trick back and then I will make a video to post on YouTube about my experiences and opinion of Mr. A's customer service. Mr. A you need to rename your products to reflect your customer service attitude. Here are some humble suggestions and a marketing pitch to go along with them. You will see a You Tube video hopefully soon with my take on your over priced products and your support of them and the customers who purchase them. I know it won't change your attitude, but it will at least be cathartic for me. 1. Cheeky The Chump - You truly are a chump if you pay $550 for a $20 puppet and $100 worth of dollar store items. BTW - If you ever lose one Mr. A will gladly replace each $1 item for as much as he can charge you for it. Plus shipping and handling of course. 2. The Thug - It is the most amazing trick in the world!! Don't worry if you ever lose the instructions I will be happy to email you a copy for only $39.99 plus shipping and handling. 3. Sponge But - Hey I will sell you a set of 3 sponge balls for only $40. They only cost me $5, but I dipped them in some Canadian holy water so who knows what blessings you will receive. What a deal!! 4. Smart Ass - Well this one is actually named fairly correctly. However you need to capitalize the last word. It reflects your attitude of supporting customers quite appropriately. You’re a cheap, greedy, small minded little bully. Most likely a really pathetic performer to boot. Mr. A was in no way obligated to acquiesce to your insane and unreasonable demands. He is in no way responsible for your inability to A: Know how to correctly package and mail a DVD and B: think about spending a buck and taking out insurance on same. You accuse him of greed. This is projection of the first magnitude. It is you sir who is exhibiting greed. You want others to pay for your laziness and lack of judgment. You’re too cheap to recognize the error of your ways and refund your customers money for a mishap that was clearly all your fault. But instead of being a man and owning up to your incompetence you take the lowest of low roads and take the easy and cheap way out by besmirching another mans character.
Mr. A is obviously a much bigger man than any of us here on the Green Bored as I’m sure none of us would have gone to such measures to shut you up.
So here’s what we are going to do. We’ll monitor your posts and anytime you put something for sale we’ll buy it. After that we’ll post on the Green Bored how what you sold us was overpriced junk that arrived broken. We’ll then post long diatribes on said Green Bored proclaiming your greed, lack of customer service and overall greed. You’ll soon see what a bitch turnabout really is.

Hypocrite of the Day Award
The Hypocrite of the day award goes to Mr. H. Ugliy who first writes a rather mean spirited post that will of course remain uncensored as it reflects the conservative ideology of the Green Bored’s host Mr. Babbling Brook.
He writes, probably in big block letters and crayon too
The ONE wonder will X the moon plans. What he wants to do is:

Yes, we too here at the Green bored are distressed that Obama is caving to the Neandercons and that his proposed spending freeze will stifle the space program. Even though malicious in intent and demeanor we are in nearly total agreement with your sentiment. Your mistake was as follows.
I am also Libertarian. Have been for many years.. LIMITED Government. Individual rights and freedom. Maybe y'all might look that up. The Repubs are a mess as well but what stems from Karl Marx is not my idea at all of how things should be either Chance. We have a winner!
So I thought long and hard as to whose post should be the first to be skewered by the Green Bored Goobers Team. There was much debate, arguing and gnashing of teeth. But after much discussion it was finally decided that the first post should go to that long time scourge of the Green Bored, Curly Sue who has suddenly reappeared with one of her ever so priceless comments which we here quote for satirical purposes.

After a more rational and oddly enough left leaning poster points out that nearly all the liberties she now takes for granted were originally put forth by liberals. You know little things like Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, A 40 hour work week, religious freedom, clean air and water, product safety, Health Insurance and so on and so forth she brings out the big guns

She really has no idea that she is in fact a fascist as she would dearly love to live in a Christian Theocracy where all laws are biblically based so things like Homosexuality, Abortion and Atheism would be punished by imprisonment, or better yet public stoning. She’s a real piece of work. Yet curiously her particular vile form of hate speech is allowed to go on unpunished on the ever so Mysterious Green Bored
Needless to say if you haven’t figured it out by now Curly Sue is a rabid fundie who believes the world is 6000 years old and that the Noah’s ark myth actually happened. There is of course no way to rationally argue with this sort of uber-con as the common sense she thinks she is in possession of only works in her tiny little black and white world.
Thus it's quite pointless to dismantle her posts and show her the errors of her ways and that she is little more than a meat puppet for a conservative establishment that continually dangles knee jerk issues like Roe v Wade and Gay Marriage bans like red meat in front of them so that they will continue to pull the lever by anyone who has that all important R by their name. But once they get into office these push button topics get swept under the rug while they continue to cut taxes on the wealthy and placate corporations while simultaneously assuring that real jobs get shipped off shore, wages and benefits for the middle class get abolished as they continue the race to the bottom. But as long as Flag Burning is illegal and Gay's can't marry she's perfectly happy to vote away her rights.
